Learning From My Gambling Errors
I have been betting on the internet or at real life casinos for a great many years. I have determined, the addiction can take a hold of you and you won’t even notice it up until you are bankrupt. Especially if you are on a run. I have gone through many tens of thousands of dollars in a very tiny period of time and at times, I can go a bit too long. It appears you are just enjoying yourself until you choose to pay attention to your loss and the guilt sets in, and then you continue telling yourself "I will be able to earn the cash back" ad infinitum. It doesn’t work. Then you get sick to your stomach and the more you attempt the more rapidly you throw away.
When you see that you are ahead, STAY on the UP! When you start to squander, don’t inform yourself, "well only maybe 1 more" a number of times, trust me, this technique almost never ever works. Say you are playing on slot machine games, have an amount set aside prior to starting your gambling. DO NOT exceed that threshold, no matter how tempting. If you happen to earn, put the winnings in a separate canister. Don’t risk your payouts no matter what. Once you have wagered through your original predetermined threshold, stop. Call it quits, whether it is on the net or in a brick and mortar gambling hall, do not stay around. At all times keep in mind, there will be another day, other times. Clearly, this tactic is able to work for any game that you gamble on, be it bingo, poker, video poker, keno, blackjack or any other game.
Remember, betting is supposed to be enjoyable not burdensome, sickening work! If you aren’t having fun yourself, you do not belong there. If you cannot afford the squanderings, do not even begin.
