Cambodia Casinos
There is a captivating history to the Cambodia gambling dens that lie just across the border from neighboring Thailand, in which gambling den gaming is illegal. Eight gambling halls are based in a generally tiny area in the metropolis of Poipet in Cambodia. This collection of Cambodia gambling halls is in an excellent location, a 3 to four hour drive from Bangkok and Macao, the two most popular betting locations in Asia. The 1st Cambodia gambling dens opened in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were forced to close in 1998, leaving only a single gambling den in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a moored barge gambling hall, contains one hundred and fifty slots and 60 gaming tables. The Naga gambling hall never closes with 42 tables of mini-baccarat chemin de fer, four tables of vingt-et-un, 10 of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and 1 each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.
The original gambling hall in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, opened in 1999 and the Golden Crown quickly opened. There are 150 slots and 5 tables at the Golden Crown and 104 slot machine games and sixty eight table games at the Holiday Palace. The newest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features 300 one armed bandits and seventy gaming tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machine games and 96 gaming tables, including eighty seven baccarat (the most beloved game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five one armed bandits and sixty six of the normal tables, as well as one table of Casino Stud Poker. An additional of the eight gambling halls in Poipet, also a part of a motel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six one armed bandits and 97 casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of a comprehensive vacation and hotel complex that features numerous luxuries accompanying the gambling den, which has ten thousand sq.ft. of 130 one armed bandits and 88 tables.
